IPUPS-17-11-R5U0 is a ready-to-use kit designed to power an IP CCTV system consisting of 17 IP cameras. Electronic PoE output protection ensures continuous operation of the entire system in the event of a short circuit or overload on a single PoE port, and automatic voltage restoration after the failure has been resolved.
Buffered PoE switch kits are intended for use with IP cameras and other network devices supporting PoE 802.3af/at or PASSIVE PoE.
Connecting appropriate batteries ensures uninterrupted operation of the power system during temporary mains power outages.
The “Long Range” mode allows you to increase the transmission range up to 280m using standard UTP twisted pair cable. The switch allows you to work in two modes: standard and extended range. When the Long Range switch is in the OFF position, all ports operate at 100 Mbps and offer Ethernet range up to 100 meters. When the dip switch is set to ON, the range on ports 1 to 4 is increased to 280 meters, while the speed on these ports is reduced to 10 Mbps. This bandwidth is sufficient for the efficient operation of a single camera. In both modes, the speed of UpLink ports 5 and 6 is 100 Mbps. With LongRange mode enabled, we provide greater flexibility in camera placement. Increasing the distance from the switch allows for easier coverage of a large area without the need to build additional distribution points.
“STANDARD” mode (MODE = OFF)
LAN 1 ... LAN 4 - 10/100 Mbps PoE OUT, range up to 100m
LAN 5 - 10/100 Mbps, PoE IN/OUT range up to 100m
LAN 6 - 10/100 Mbps, range up to 100m
“LONG RANGE” mode (MODE = ON)
LAN 1 ... LAN 4 - 10 Mbps PoE OUT, range up to 280m
LAN 5 - 10/100 Mbps, PoE IN/OUT range up to 100m
LAN 6 - 10/100 Mbps, range up to 100m
Regardless of the selected operating mode, the switch supports PoE short-circuit and surge protection to protect network devices.
Port 6 UpLink cannot enable PoE regardless of the selected operating mode. It allows for secure connection of different LAN segments.
Notes:
- by default, LongRange mode is disabled
- changing modes requires a power restart
- it is recommended to test the functionality before deployment
- no VLAN port isolation – all switch ports can communicate with each other uninterrupted, regardless of the operating mode
- for long-distance setups, we recommend powering the switch with 55 V from a dedicated APS-90-550-OF power supply or using an ASUC-100-550-OF converter in buffered sets
- the transmission distance depends on the cable used; Cat5e or Cat6 cables are recommended. Using low-quality cables or CCA cables will significantly reduce the range and limit the PoE power available to the camera
ABOX-R5U0 enclosure enables installation of the complete ATTE product range in a telecommunications rack cabinet, previously dedicated to ABOX series indoor and outdoor enclosures.
A well-thought-out and unique design allows for the installation of devices in a single enclosure, together with a buffer power supply and batteries. The body is made of steel sheet, and the cover is made of lightweight aluminum sheet. Both elements are powder-coated in a semi-matte graphite color, RAL 7024. Manufactured using a modern production line, ensuring the highest quality and precision.
ABOX-R5U0 features a special 10.8 mm hole pattern. It is compatible with the mounting hole spacing of modules for installation. This standardized system allows selected devices to be mounted vertically or horizontally in any perforated section of the enclosure.
