Gigabit PoE adapter reducing voltage to 5V/12V/24V, Pout 20W 802.3af/at & passive

SDIP-20-AD0 is a gigabit universal PoE adapter with a voltage-reducing converter. By powering the device with PoE, we can obtain 3 different voltages at the output: 5V, 12V or 24V.

The ability to change the operating mode allows the user to select the correct configuration of the PoE supply voltage at the output, as well as the output voltage level from the converter.

Basic applications:

• simultaneous powering of an IP camera and an additional 12 V device
• supplying power to WiFi AP access devices with 24V PoE passive voltage
• powering a door station with an electric door strike when there is no 12V supply to the electric door strike
• supplying USB 5V for intelligent home automation devices

Operating mode is changed by setting the appropriate combination of jumpers.

First set of jumpers allows the DC output voltage of the converter to be selected at 5V, 12V or 24V, the voltage being applied to the screw connector.

Second set of jumpers controls the voltage on the RJ45 PoE OUT port. There are 3 possible configurations available:

• PoE IN - PoE input voltage transferred to PoE output (44...56V)
• DC OUT - voltage from DC connector transferred to PoE output (e.g.; 24V PoE)
• LAN - no PoE power at the output

SDIP-20-AD0 combines the functionality of all SDIP-12-XXX inverters and can be used as an alternative to any adapter of this type. In addition, the SDIP-20-AD0 inverter has a larger power budget (20W) than the SDIP-12-XXX adapter series.

Signalling of the operating status is provided via LEDs:

• LED PWR - power present
• LED w złączach RJ45 - PoE power on port

The device has a protection level of IP20, a suitable enclosure (minimum IP44) is required to ensure protection from the elements and condensation.

If the device will be used in a small space it is possible to cut and break the mounting brackets of the base to reduce the dimensions of the module.

SDIP-20-AD0 is equipped with a universal mounting base, which allows the unit to be mounted in several ways:

• using the mounting studs on the 10.8mm grid, which is used in all ABOX enclosures
• with the use of mounting studs for RACK 19" and RACK 10" adapters
• by screwing through the additional holes to any flat surface
• using additional adapter ADD-TH35 it is possible to mount the module on the TH35 rail (DIN)

• check that the jumper configuration is correct before connecting the device.
• the total power of the inverter is 20W, which is used for DC power and PoE power.
• before connecting the receiver, make sure what the correct PoE voltage level is and on which pairs the power should be supplied.
• the total power consumed by the receivers connected to the adapter must not exceed the power budget offered by the power switch.
• if the power on the PoE IN port is too low, we recommend using any model from the ATTE range as a power switch, e.g.: IPB 5-10A-S4.
